Is Singapore FinTech Festival 2020 still on?

Yes, the event will be going ahead as planned and will take place 9 – 13 November 2020 in Singapore. The lab crawl will be held from 9-10 November 2020 at various locations across Singapore. The conference and exhibition will be held from 11-13 November 2020 at Singapore EXPO & MAX Atria.

Given the COVID-19 situation globally, the large-scale nature of the event and international profile of attendees, is it safe to visit Singapore FinTech Festival 2020?

In view of the rapidly evolving nature of COVID-19, Singapore FinTech Festival is working closely with venue partner Singapore EXPO & MAX Atria and the local authorities to ensure that the necessary measures, in accordance to the Singapore Ministry of Health’s advisories, are set in place on-site to reduce the risk of community spread.

To date, all staff and partners have been advised to exercise vigilance, adopt good personal hygiene practices, monitor their health closely, and to be socially responsible. Health and large-scale event advisory signage and digital billboards have been put up around Singapore EXPO & MAX Atria to advise all visitors to the venue. The venue has strengthened its sanitary measures which includes the doubling of its cleaning frequency as well as ensuring that basic amenities such as hand soap do not run out. Hand sanitisers can also be found at various locations of the venue.

With the current alert level globally, all event participants and visitors will have to go through the temperature screening stations at the respective controlled entry points to the venue. In accordance to the Singapore Ministry of Health’s advisories, individuals who are unwell with fever or symptoms such as cough and shortness of breath will be denied entry to the venue. Cases of those who are feeling unwell will be assessed and if deemed necessary, will be referred to the hospital for further medical assessment. There are isolation rooms in place and trained medics will be on-site during event days.

We strongly advise all visitors to visit the Singapore Immigrations & Checkpoints Authorities website for updates on the border control measures in response to COVID-19 as well as applications for exceptions.

In view of the health and safety risks presented by COVID-19, what are the additional health or screening measures that will be in place at Singapore FinTech Festival?

In view of the COVID-19 situation, concrete measures, in accordance to the Singapore Ministry of Health’s advisories, have been put in place around Singapore EXPO & MAX Atria to reduce the risk of community spread. We are also working closely with the event venue, our partners as well as the local authorities to ensure that the necessary precautionary measures are activated on-site during event days.

I am a delegate and would like to cancel my registration for Singapore FinTech Festival 2020. Can the cancellation fees be waived in view of the COVID-19 outbreak?

There is no refund of the registration fee if you cancel your registration. You may transfer your ticket to another person, at no additional cost, by providing a written notice of substitution to the fintech.reg@singex.com , up to two weeks prior to the start of the event. However, failure to do so may result in the replacement being barred from entering the event.

I am an exhibitor and would like to cancel my booth at Singapore FinTech Festival 2020. Can the cancellation fees be waived in view of the COVID-19 outbreak?

ADMISSIONS AND DRESS CODE

Is there a dress code?

The dress code for SFF x SWITCH is business or smart casual attire. You might be doing lots of walking around the conference halls and our air-conditioning can be quite strong, so dressing for the beach and flip flops may not be the most ideal attire.

Is there an age restriction for attending the event?

SFF x SWITCH is open to registered trade visitors and professionals who are 16 years old and above.

Can visitors bring children to the event?

Admission to SFF x SWITCH is strictly for trade visitors and professionals who are 16 years old and above only.

Is re-admission allowed on days of the Exhibition?

Re-admission is allowed for all registered visitors across all days of the Exhibition.

Are passes transferable? Can passes be replaced?

Passes are non-transferable and have to be worn at all times. There is a non-refundable S$25 (subject to 7% GST) fee to replace badges and/or badge holders.

Note: The Organisers reserve the right to decline both online and on-site registrations that are deemed inappropriate.

Are Food & Beverages available at the show site?

Conference delegates, Media and Speakers, have access to F&B Zone at Hall 1 and F&B Express (limited selection) at Hall 3 on the following dates and times
Day 1 - 11 Nov: 8.00am to 5pm
Day 2 & 3 – 12 & 13 Nov: 8.30am to 5pm


For Exhibitors and Trade Visitors, you’d be pleased to know that we have food & beverages sold at the following places:


1. Hall 2B: Beside “Investment and Global Markets Opportunities Stage Powered by AMTD”
2. Hall 4: Habitat Expo Lounge
3. Between Hall 4 & 5: Co-Working Space West


We also have a variety of food establishments in Singapore EXPO.

SECURITY

Will security checks be conducted at the event?

Yes. Security checks will be conducted at the Registration Gateway. Visitors are advised to travel light to expedite security checks.
